A tragic accident occurred on the A2 highway near Traiskirchen, Lower Austria, resulting in the death of a 48-year-old Ukrainian woman and injuries to eight other passengers, all from Ukraine.

The incident happened early Sunday morning when the 63-year-old driver lost control of the minibus, which then collided with a crash barrier and overturned into a roadside ditch.

Emergency services faced a challenging scene, initially searching for a missing person with a drone, who was later found inside the wreckage.

The cleanup operation extended into the morning hours, with debris scattered across the road.

The injured were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
