A devastating accident occurred on Austria's A2 highway near Scheiblingkirchen on Tuesday morning, claiming four lives and leaving several others injured.
A Ukrainian minibus collided with a Spanish-registered truck around 6:30 AM.
The minibus, carrying eight Ukrainian nationals, crashed into the truck as it exited a parking area.
Tragically, four passengers in the minibus died, while the remaining four sustained serious injuries.
The truck's driver and passenger suffered minor injuries.
Emergency services, including three rescue helicopters and multiple medical teams, worked tirelessly to free the victims and transport them to hospitals.
The accident caused a significant traffic disruption, with a 10-kilometer-long traffic jam and detours set up via the B54. Authorities expect the highway to reopen by late morning.
