The Gaisberg circular hiking trail in Salzburg is now fully reopened after months of partial closure due to storm damage.
The trail had been affected by fallen trees since last winter, leading to a prolonged closure of the Koppler side.
On July 31, Gaisberg coordinator Florian Kreibich announced the reopening via a Facebook video, expressing his excitement as he removed a barrier that had restricted access.
He encouraged hikers to enjoy the trail while reminding them that it remains an alpine path.
The city had previously extended the closure multiple times, but now all sections of the popular hiking route are accessible once again.
