Salzburg's Pool Saga Continues

The Paracelsus-Bad in Salzburg, often dubbed the "Pannenbad," faces yet another round of repairs.

After being closed for over a year due to faulty ceiling screws, the pool reopened briefly but is now set for summer renovations to fix its ceiling lamellae.

The city will contribute up to €750,000 to support the struggling construction firm responsible for the defects, fearing higher costs if a new contractor is hired.

Meanwhile, damage to the outdoor sauna pools has been traced to faulty tile sealing, requiring extensive repairs.

Despite these setbacks, the city aims to reopen the facility by November, offering discounted tickets to sauna guests during the disruptions.
