Firefighters Injured in Scheibbs Truck Crash

In a tragic accident in Scheibbs, Austria, three firefighters were injured when their heavy-duty fire truck crashed into a bridge support wall and overturned.

The incident occurred on Friday evening as the firefighters were returning from a call.

The driver, a 32-year-old, managed to exit the vehicle on his own, while two others were trapped inside and had to be rescued by their colleagues.

One of the firefighters, aged 24, was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries, while the other two sustained minor injuries.

The accident prompted a high-level emergency response, with multiple fire brigades and emergency services working for over five hours in challenging weather conditions to manage the scene and recover the damaged vehicle.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
