In a dramatic incident in Lower Austria, a car veered off the road and plummeted approximately 70 meters down a steep slope.
The driver lost control on a rain-soaked road while heading towards Türnitz, causing the vehicle to roll multiple times before coming to rest in thick underbrush.
Miraculously, the two occupants, both in their twenties, managed to escape the wreckage on their own, despite the car being completely destroyed.
Unfortunately, their dog did not survive the crash.
Emergency services, including the Türnitz and Lehenrotte fire departments, were dispatched to the scene, where they conducted a challenging recovery operation for the vehicle and the deceased pet.
The injured individuals were transported to Lilienfeld Hospital for treatment.
