In response to severe storm damage in mid-September, the Tullnerfeld region in Austria is undergoing significant transportation adjustments.
The Verkehrsverbund Ost-Region (VOR), in collaboration with ÖBB-Personenverkehr and Postbus, has launched a new bus replacement service between Tullnerfeld and Wien Hütteldorf.
This service aims to provide reliable connections for commuters and students, with buses running every 30 minutes during peak hours.
Meanwhile, the Tullnerfeld train station, heavily impacted by flooding, is set to partially reopen on November 4, though it will initially lack barrier-free access.
Additionally, bus lines 409, 414, and 444 have updated schedules to improve punctuality and connectivity, particularly for school commutes.
These efforts reflect a broader initiative to restore and enhance transportation infrastructure in the region.
