Witnesses reported hearing a loud crash as large boulders tumbled down the mountainside, creating a cloud of dust.
Fortunately, both the building and its visitors emerged unscathed, although they were covered in dust.
Firefighters were alerted by the local mayor and quickly responded to the scene, confirming that the rockfall happened a safe distance from the hut.
The cause of the rockfall remains unclear, but the hut's operator, Gotthard Kaiser, expressed relief, stating that everything would be cleaned up soon.
