Tragedy struck the Salzburg Alps on Wednesday afternoon as two German tourists lost their lives in separate climbing accidents.
A 65-year-old man from Cologne was hiking with his wife near St.
Gilgen when he tragically fell 150 meters into the Burggrabenklamm.
Despite his wife's immediate call for help, the rescue team could only confirm his death upon arrival.
In a separate incident, a 31-year-old woman from Baden-Württemberg was climbing the Postalm-Klettersteig with her husband when she fell 100 meters into the Rußbach.
