A 76-year-old dementia patient who went missing from Linz's Kepler University Hospital on Thursday has been found dead.
The man disappeared from the hospital's emergency room, where he had been admitted after a medical incident.
Despite extensive search efforts involving police, rescue teams, and family members, his body was discovered on Sunday in a garden shed in Leonding, about seven kilometers from the hospital.
His E-Card was earlier found in a nearby forest.
Authorities confirmed there were no signs of foul play.
The search was intensified due to freezing temperatures, with drones and search dogs deployed until the tragic discovery.
