A devastating fire broke out on Sunday afternoon at a campsite in Tulln, Lower Austria, leaving a 52-year-old man from Vienna severely injured.
The blaze, which started around 1:40 PM, engulfed four caravans and a mobile home, destroying them almost entirely.
Authorities suspect an explosion may have triggered the fire, though the exact cause remains under investigation.
Firefighters faced significant challenges, including the risk posed by nearby gas cylinders, most of which were fortunately empty.
The injured man was airlifted to a hospital for treatment.
By 2:45 PM, the fire was successfully contained, preventing further damage.
