A dramatic fire broke out in Paternion, Carinthia, when a defective car unexpectedly rolled away and caused a chain reaction.

The vehicle, parked in front of an apartment building in Neu-Feffernitz, suddenly moved forward about five to six meters, crashing into another parked car.

The collision triggered a fire that engulfed the defective car and quickly spread to nearby vehicles.

Several cars were damaged in the blaze.

Emergency services responded swiftly and managed to bring the fire under control before it could cause further destruction.

Authorities confirmed that the incident was caused by a technical defect in the car.
