Austria is set to experience unusually warm weather for October, with temperatures reaching up to 24 degrees Celsius in some regions by early next week.
Despite the warmth, the weather will remain variable, with rain expected in certain areas.
The weekend will start with persistent fog, especially in the southern alpine regions, but will remain mostly dry.
Saturday's temperatures are expected to reach up to 19 degrees.
However, Sunday will bring a weather disturbance from the west, leading to dense cloud cover and scattered showers, particularly north of the main alpine ridge.
As the week progresses, a warm front will bring more sunshine and higher temperatures, with Monday seeing up to 21 degrees and Tuesday potentially reaching 24 degrees.
The eastern parts of Austria, including Vienna, will experience more cloud cover and rain, while the west will enjoy sunnier conditions.
By midweek, dense fog and high cloud fields will dominate, with temperatures ranging from 10 to 22 degrees, depending on the region and sunshine duration.
