A shocking knife attack occurred on Monday afternoon in a law office in Vienna's Landstraße district.

A 53-year-old client allegedly stabbed a 56-year-old employee multiple times, leaving her with life-threatening injuries.

The attack began with a physical altercation in the office's courtyard and escalated into a brutal stabbing in the stairwell.

Despite her severe injuries, the victim managed to seek help inside the office and was rushed to the hospital, where her condition has since stabilized.

The suspect fled the scene but was apprehended later that evening near his residence.

Authorities are investigating the motive, with the law office's role as an adult representative potentially being a factor.
