A tragic incident occurred at the Türk-Kaserne in Spittal an der Drau, Austria, where a 21-year-old conscript was fatally shot by a fellow soldier.

The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon when a shot was accidentally fired from the service pistol of a 20-year-old guard.

Despite being airlifted to the hospital, the young soldier succumbed to his injuries.

Both soldiers were part of the Carinthian military command and hailed from the same district.
