A tragic day unfolded in Tirol, Austria, as two separate paragliding accidents claimed the lives of three individuals, including a 10-year-old girl.
The first incident occurred in Westendorf, where a 60-year-old Austrian tandem pilot and a young German girl encountered severe turbulence shortly after takeoff.
Their paraglider crashed into a young forest, resulting in fatal injuries for both.
Despite immediate rescue efforts, they were pronounced dead at the scene.
In a separate accident in Sillian, East Tirol, a 55-year-old German woman also lost her life while paragliding.
She spiraled out of control from a height of approximately 100 meters after hitting turbulence, crashing to the ground with devastating force.
Despite first aid attempts, she succumbed to her injuries at the site.
