A tragic accident occurred in Neuhofen an der Krems, Austria, when a 70-year-old farmer lost his life while working on his farm.
On Wednesday evening, the farmer's family, concerned by his unusual absence, began searching for him.
They discovered his car and mobile phone left at home, prompting them to call the police.
The search focused on a defective wood chip heating system, where a hole was found.
The farmer had likely been trying to loosen the wood chips with an iron rod when he fell into the hole and was buried.
Firefighters were called to the scene and, after shoveling the wood chips aside, found the farmer deceased at a depth of two to two and a half meters.
This incident highlights the dangers of working with heavy machinery and the importance of safety precautions.
