A tragic accident occurred in Eggelsberg, Upper Austria, claiming the life of a 74-year-old farmer.
While performing maintenance on a submersible pump on his property, the man lost his balance and fell headfirst into a manure pit.
Unable to free himself, he drowned.
His wife discovered his body the following morning and alerted emergency services.
Despite the efforts of 14 firefighters to recover him, the man had already passed away the previous evening.
The incident has left the local community in shock, highlighting the dangers of working near such hazardous areas.
