A 21-year-old German climber tragically lost his life after a fall on the Hohe Munde in Tirol, Austria.

The young man, who embarked on the climb despite adverse weather conditions, was reported missing on Thursday after sending a distress message to a friend.

Search efforts were hampered by snow and fog, preventing immediate rescue operations.

On Friday, a lifeless body was discovered by rescue teams, but poor weather conditions delayed the recovery.

The climber had initially reached the summit but fell approximately 100 meters, sustaining injuries.

Despite efforts to reach him, the harsh environment and deteriorating weather conditions proved insurmountable.
