The Telfer Schleicherlaufen, a UNESCO-recognized cultural heritage event, made a triumphant return to Telfs, Austria, after a five-year hiatus.
This traditional festival, held every five years, captivated over 15,000 attendees with its vibrant costumes, humorous performances, and ancient rituals.
The event began with the symbolic carrying of the sun through the town, followed by the "Bären einfangen" ritual, and culminated in a grand parade featuring 14 groups performing satirical and artistic acts.
Despite a minor incident involving a collapsed guest tribune, the festival was a resounding success.
Visitors marveled at the intricate costumes, crafted over months, and the lively atmosphere.
The day ended with a celebratory ball, leaving attendees eagerly awaiting the next Schleicherlaufen in 2030.
