A former official of Austria's FPÖ party, Gerhard Dingler, has donated €2.3 million in the form of 6,395 campaign posters to Germany's AfD party.

The donation, made during the Bundestag election campaign, was reported to the Bundestag administration.

Dingler, who served as FPÖ's state manager in Vorarlberg, stated his concerns about the Ukraine war escalating and opposed potential German arms deliveries to Ukraine.

He believes the AfD is the only party advocating for peace.

The posters, already printed, are independent of the AfD's official campaign.

This donation has sparked criticism, with some viewing it as a threat to democratic values.
