Austria's Court of Audit has identified improper political donations linked to the social media accounts of key politicians.
The accounts of Chancellor Karl Nehammer (ÖVP) and Burgenland Governor Hans Peter Doskozil (SPÖ) were flagged for promoting party content using public resources, violating party financing laws.
Nehammer's posts were valued at €50,600, while Doskozil's amounted to €600. The FPÖ also faced scrutiny for a party-themed fan shop and unreported finances in its newspaper.
The audit highlighted broader issues of blurred lines between public office and party activities.
The Independent Party Transparency Senate will decide on penalties.
