In the midst of Austria's National Council election campaign, a wave of vandalism has targeted political posters, particularly those of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ).
In Innsbruck, vandals have defaced numerous election posters with spray paint, prompting FPÖ's Rudi Federspiel to offer a €1,500 reward for information leading to the culprits.
The police have reported multiple incidents over a single weekend, highlighting the scale of the issue.
Meanwhile, in Graz, manipulated posters featuring Nazi symbolism have appeared, falsely associating them with the FPÖ and ÖVP, sparking outrage and legal action from the parties involved.
This surge in vandalism and misinformation underscores the tense and contentious atmosphere surrounding the election.
