In a tragic discovery in Frannach, Südoststeiermark, a 60-year-old woman was found dead in her home after being missing for weeks.
The woman, last seen on October 17, was reported missing by a friend on November 15 after repeated attempts to contact her failed.
Police and firefighters entered her home and found her deceased, with initial investigations suggesting she died of natural causes weeks earlier.
Despite the grim find, her numerous pets, including dogs and cats, were found alive and are now being cared for by relatives.
The police have ruled out foul play and are handling the case with sensitivity, refraining from disclosing further details.
