A truck caught fire on the Semmering Schnellstraße (S6) early Thursday morning, leading to a complete closure of the road between Leoben West and Leoben Ost in the direction of Vienna.
The incident has caused a traffic jam stretching approximately three kilometers, as emergency services work to extinguish the blaze and clear the area.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and authorities have not provided an estimate for when the road will reopen.
This disruption has created significant delays for morning commuters.
In a similar incident, another truck caught fire on the Südautobahn (A2) in Kärnten the previous evening, suspected to be due to a technical defect.
