Severe thunderstorms have once again struck Styria, Austria, causing significant disruptions and damage.
On Sunday afternoon, strong winds reaching up to 80 km/h, heavy rain, and hail swept through the region, particularly affecting Graz and surrounding areas.
The local fire department responded to numerous incidents, including flooded basements and fallen trees.
A notable event was a lightning strike on the iconic Glockenturm in Graz, which went viral on social media.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Meanwhile, the Austrian Armed Forces continue to assist in cleanup efforts in areas like Thörl and Aflenz, where water contamination issues are being addressed.
Residents are advised to stay cautious as more storms are expected in the coming days.
