A serious accident occurred at the Fantasiana amusement park in Straßwalchen, Salzburg, on Tuesday afternoon, injuring two technicians.

The men were performing maintenance work inside a "Freefall Tower" when a part detached, causing them to become trapped at a height of seven meters.

Emergency services, including a rescue helicopter and specialized mountain rescue teams, were called to the scene.

Firefighters faced challenges due to the confined space and high temperatures inside the tower.

Fortunately, both men were rescued and transported to the hospital, with one suffering serious injuries and the other sustaining minor injuries.

Thankfully, their lives are not in danger, and the park was closed to visitors at the time of the incident.

The labor inspectorate has been notified to investigate the accident further.
