A tragic workplace accident occurred in Saalfelden, Salzburg, resulting in the death of a 40-year-old Bulgarian man.

The incident took place on Thursday morning when the man was performing cleaning duties in a transformer station.

According to the Salzburg police, the accident happened at approximately 8:44 AM.

Initially, the man was working in a secured area of the transformer station.

However, he later entered an unsecured transformer room, where he suffered a fatal electric shock.

Emergency medical services arrived promptly, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
