Published: 2024-10-02

The Pink Ribbon campaign kicked off its 23rd year in Vienna, marking the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Hosted at the Park Hyatt Hotel, the event aimed to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer support.

Over the past 22 years, nearly 11 million euros have been raised, highlighting both the success and the ongoing need for financial aid and counseling.

The Austrian Cancer Aid recommends mammograms starting at age 40 due to rising cases among younger women.

Recent advancements in breast cancer therapies, including immunotherapy and targeted treatments, have significantly improved survival rates and quality of life.

The event featured musical performances and was attended by notable figures, emphasizing the importance of continued support and research in the fight against breast cancer.
