The Altstadtkriterium returned to Salzburg on September 5th, drawing thousands of spectators to witness high-speed cycling through the historic city center.
The event, part of the Cyclodome series, featured a revamped and more challenging course, starting at Residenzplatz and looping through iconic city landmarks.
Gregor Mühlberger, a local favorite, clinched victory in a nail-biting finish, edging out Marco Haller by just one second.
The race also included a charity segment, where celebrities like Lizz Görgl participated to raise funds for spinal cord research.
Despite a brief interruption in the women's race due to a participant's health issue, the event was a resounding success, setting the stage for the upcoming Mountainbike Eliminator races.
