National Council President Walter Rosenkranz is under scrutiny for allegedly delaying a request from the Vienna Public Prosecutor's Office.
The request sought the lifting of immunity for three FPÖ members, Harald Stefan, Martin Graf, and Norbert Nemeth, to investigate their involvement in a controversial funeral.
The funeral featured a song historically associated with the SS, raising suspicions of Nazi re-engagement.
Rosenkranz reportedly held the request for ten days, sparking accusations of misconduct.
Critics, including members of the ÖVP, SPÖ, and Greens, demand an explanation, suspecting political motives linked to the timing of the Styria election.
Rosenkranz's office claims the delay was due to a misunderstanding, but the Jewish Austrian Students' Union has filed a complaint, alleging intentional misconduct.
