Two women were injured during Krampus parades in Tirol, Austria, on Saturday evening.
In Imst, a 22-year-old woman was struck on the left hand with significant force by a Krampus wielding a wooden rod, causing her hand to swell and impairing her ability to move her fingers.
She sought medical attention at a local hospital.
Meanwhile, in Anras, a 51-year-old woman nearly severed a fingertip after her hand got caught in a barrier gate, which was being moved by a Krampus.
She received initial treatment before being taken to a hospital in Lienz.
The police are actively seeking witnesses to these incidents, urging anyone with information to come forward.
