The city of Graz is set to transform into a festive wonderland as the Advent season kicks off with a series of enchanting Christmas markets.

Starting November 22, 2024, 16 locations across Graz will host these markets, offering a blend of traditional crafts, local gastronomy, and vibrant music programs.

A new addition this year is the Christmas village at Karmeliterplatz, featuring artistic light installations and regional delicacies.

Meanwhile, the Eiserne Tor market has been reimagined to reflect the true spirit of the season, providing a serene escape from the holiday hustle with its cozy village-like setup and diverse musical performances ranging from jazz to a Christmas disco.

The festivities begin with the illumination of 760,000 LEDs on November 21, setting the city aglow.

Visitors can also enjoy the iconic ice nativity scene crafted by Finnish artist Kimmo Frosti, and a special ice sculpting event in Stainz.

With free public transport on Advent Saturdays, Graz invites everyone to experience the magic of the season.
