The Bauernbund, closely aligned with the ÖVP, has solidified its dominance in the Lower Austrian Chamber of Agriculture elections, securing 82% of the votes and 32 out of 36 mandates.
Despite facing competition from four other lists, the Bauernbund retained its stronghold, with Johannes Schmuckenschlager continuing as president.
The Unabhängige Bauernverband and Freiheitliche Bauern won three and one mandates, respectively, while other parties failed to meet the 4% threshold.
With a voter turnout of 46.61%, the results reaffirm the Bauernbund's position as a key political force.
Stephan Pernkopf, Bauernbund leader, called the outcome a testament to their reliability and successful strategy.
