The Austrian government has unveiled a new relief package aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Key measures include the abolition of receipt requirements for purchases under 35 euros and a gradual increase in the basic flat-rate tax deduction to 15% by 2026. Additionally, from July 2025, light commercial vehicles will be exempt from the NoVA tax, reducing costs for company vehicles.
The package, described as a "bureaucracy brake," aims to simplify processes and boost the economy.
While the initiative has been praised by business leaders, critics argue it lacks urgency and ambition.
The government hopes these steps will strengthen Austria's economic position and provide much-needed relief to struggling businesses.
