A weekend of violence marred the city of Salzburg, with two separate incidents drawing police attention.
On Sunday, a brawl erupted during a hobby football tournament in the Nonntal district, leaving a 32-year-old Romanian goalkeeper hospitalized.
The altercation involved several individuals, and police have identified a 40-year-old Romanian as the main suspect, charging him with assault.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear.
In a separate incident on the National Day, two young men, aged 17 and 19, severely injured a 20-year-old at an event in Taxenbach, resulting in serious head injuries.
The attackers were identified but have not confessed to the crime.
