Vienna welcomed 2025 with grand celebrations despite a thick fog blanketing much of the city on New Year's Eve.

While the fog obscured views of the fireworks in some areas, including the bustling city center, other parts of Vienna offered clearer skies and stunning displays.

Videos from districts like Margareten captured the vibrant fireworks lighting up the night.

The dense fog, however, did not dampen the festive spirit, as hundreds of thousands gathered in the city center to ring in the New Year with enthusiasm.

The iconic New Year's Eve path was packed with revelers, proving that Vienna's celebrations remain a highlight, fog or not.
