Three concerts by pop superstar Taylor Swift in Vienna have been abruptly canceled due to a terror threat.

The decision came after the Austrian police arrested two suspects, including a 19-year-old who had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State (IS) and was believed to be planning an attack on the events at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion.

The concerts, scheduled for August 8, 9, and 10, were expected to draw around 65,000 fans each night.

Authorities confirmed that chemical substances were found during the suspects' arrest, raising concerns about potential explosives.

Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer described the situation as very serious, emphasizing the importance of vigilance against terrorism.

Fans expressed their disappointment, as many had traveled long distances to attend the shows.
