As the National Council elections approach in Austria, nine parties have successfully secured their spots on the ballot for the September 29 vote.
The established parties, including ÖVP, SPÖ, FPÖ, Greens, and Neos, will be joined by the KPÖ, the Bierpartei, the Liste Petrovic, and the new party "Keine von denen".
The KPÖ, led by Tobias Schweiger, is optimistic about its chances, aiming to address pressing issues like affordable housing and social welfare.
Meanwhile, Madeleine Petrovic, a former Green leader, has formed her own party, emphasizing a critical stance on fundamental rights.
Smaller parties like MFG and Liste Gaza will appear in select regions, while others, such as the Servus Party, have opted out of the race.
The election promises to be a significant moment for both established and emerging political voices in Austria.
