In a dramatic accident in Osttirol, a 24-year-old man suffered severe injuries after crashing his motorcycle down a steep, rocky slope.

The incident occurred on a Sunday evening in Kartitsch, where the man, who was reportedly intoxicated, lost control of his unregistered motorcycle on a forest path.

He veered off the road in a left turn and plummeted approximately 100 meters.

Hikers in the area quickly descended to assist and called for emergency services.

During the rescue, a 20-year-old woman was slightly injured by a rolling stone while trying to help.

The injured motorcyclist was airlifted to Lienz hospital, while the woman was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The police confirmed the motorcyclist's intoxication and reported significant damage to the motorcycle.
