A massive fraud case involving a self-proclaimed shaman, Mariana M.
, has shocked Austria.
The 44-year-old, also known as "Amela," allegedly swindled over €730,000 from victims through fake rituals, claiming to cleanse curses.
Investigators uncovered a hidden safe in her son's house containing €4.1 million, 2.1 million Swiss francs, and other valuables, totaling millions.
Mariana M.
remains at large, with authorities suspecting her involvement in crimes across German-speaking countries.
Her 29-year-old son has been arrested on charges of complicity.
