The prestigious restaurant guide Gault&Millau has awarded its first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award to three culinary icons: Markus Mraz, Helmut Rachinger, and Sepp Schellhorn.

Dubbed the "Healthy Dad Band," these chefs have significantly influenced Austria's gastronomic landscape.

The award coincides with the release of the Gault&Millau 2025 guide, which continues to highlight Austria's top dining establishments.

Hannes Müller of Restaurant Die Forelle was named Chef of the Year, showcasing the country's high culinary standards despite economic challenges.

The guide also emphasizes sustainability, awarding the "green" environmental hood to Paul Ivić of Tian in Vienna.

This year's edition features 71 new entries, reflecting the dynamic and evolving nature of Austria's culinary scene.
