The Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) has unveiled its election program titled "Fortress Austria, Fortress of Freedom," ahead of the national elections.
Party leader Herbert Kickl presented the program, emphasizing themes of individual freedom, sovereignty, and traditional family values.
The FPÖ proposes significant tax cuts, including reductions in corporate and capital gains taxes, while opposing new taxes such as inheritance tax.
The program also calls for stricter immigration controls, advocating for "remigration" and limiting asylum applications.
Additionally, the FPÖ seeks to enhance direct democracy, allowing citizens to vote on government decisions and potentially remove ineffective leaders.
Critics argue that the FPÖ's plans lack clear financial strategies and could strain public resources.
