In a disturbing series of domestic violence incidents in Kärnten, Austria, two men have been charged following separate attacks on their families.
On Friday evening, a 44-year-old man in St.
Veit/Glan, under the influence of alcohol, violently confronted his minor son, leading to a physical altercation with the child's mother.
The man was temporarily detained and now faces restrictions, including a ban on approaching his family and possessing weapons.
In a separate incident on Saturday, a 40-year-old man in Klagenfurt threatened his 32-year-old partner and her children, destroying her phone with a hammer and confining them to a bedroom.
He later called the police himself and is now under similar legal restrictions.
Both cases highlight the urgent need for addressing domestic violence and ensuring the safety of vulnerable family members.
