In a tragic incident in Stainz, Steiermark, an eleven-year-old boy was severely injured after being bitten in the face by an Australian Shepherd.

The incident occurred on a sunny Saturday afternoon while the boy was playing on a local farm.

His brother was assisting the farm owners, and during this time, the boy knelt in front of the dog, which then bit him unexpectedly.

The farm owner quickly provided first aid and called emergency services.

The boy was airlifted to the children's surgery unit at LKH Graz for treatment.

This incident follows another recent dog attack in the region, where a jogger was severely injured by a neighbor's dog.

The owners of the Australian Shepherd stated that this was the first time the dog had bitten anyone.
