Andreas Babler, the leader of the SPÖ party and mayor of Traiskirchen, has embarked on a nationwide campaign tour in a motorhome, starting in Salzburg.

This tour, titled "With Heart and Mind," aims to connect with voters across Austria over the next six weeks.

Despite his busy schedule, Babler maintains his mayoral duties, stating he will only step down if he leads a new government.

His campaign will include visits to markets, summer festivals, and press conferences, focusing on key issues like housing, healthcare, and social welfare.

Babler's popularity is evident, as he is welcomed warmly in Salzburg, even in the absence of local party leader David Egger, who is on vacation.

The SPÖ hopes to leverage past electoral successes in the region to boost their campaign ahead of the upcoming National Council elections.
